Homegoing Celebration for Bobbie Jean
Blackwell
Bobbie Jean Blackwell was born to the parents of
Leon Blackwell and Katie Buford on August 6,
1937 in Winnsboro, Texas. She attended
McFarland High School, Mineola, Texas. She was
employed at Benham Bean and spend most of
her life being a homemaker, taking care of her
children and spending quality time with her
grandchildren. She was a member of St. Paul
Missionary Baptist Church. She remained faithful
until her health failed her.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents,
sisters – Shirley Smith and Billie Barrow.
Bobbie leaves to cherish her memories, Sons –
Harold Blackwell of Arlington, TX ; Clifton
Blackwell (Soledad) of San Antonio, TX,
Daughters – Jacqueline Williams of Mineola, TX;
Jennifer Berry (Gary) of Mineola, TX. Special
Children – Johnny Pettie of Lubbock, TX, Michael
Caraway of Houston, TX, Meeca London of
Mineola, TX and Damone Williams of Kansas.
Brothers – Robert Blackwell – Dallas, TX; James
Blackwell (Stephanie) of Humble, TX. One Uncle
– Roosevelt Petty of Lindale, TX and special aunt
– Bessie Caraway of Mineola, TX. 17
grandchildren, 29 great grandkids and 1 great
grandchild and one on the way. Host of nieces, nephews and cousins..
