Carl Reanon James

MR. CARL REANON JAMES was born February 10, 1954 in
Mineola, Texas to the late Francine Wheeler and Lonnie
James.
He graduated High School in Mineola, Texas in 1973. At an
early age he accepted Christ as his personal Savior at St. Paul
Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas. Later in life, he joined St.
Mary Baptist Church in Lindale, Texas where he remained a
faithful member until his health failed. He served as a
Treasure, Handyman, Usher, and he sang in the Male Chorus.
Mr. James met and married Brenda McCann‐James on
February 18, 1982 and to this blessed union two children were
born, Zachary Sheanon James and Toi Kieron James.
Carl was employed at Benham Bean Company for many years,
and Lilly Food Service in Mineola, Texas for many years. He
was later employed at McCallister Van Line in Coppell, Texas
for 18 plus years, driving an 18‐wheeler until he retired in
2016. He was a very hard worker and extremely proud of the
quality of service he provided.
He was preceded by both of his parents, Francince Wheeler
and Lonnie James, sisters, Minnie Sue Gunter, Della James, Linda James and Florence James; brothers ‐ Jerry James, Maurice Acy, Dolson James, and Billy Charles James.
Carl leaves to cherish his memories: two sons, Zachary James
of Mineola, TX and Tol (Sasha) James of Saginaw, TX; one
granddaughter: Morghan Elyse James of Mineola, TX; two
sisters: Marilyn (LM) Turner of Dallas, TX and Kathy James of
Mineola, TX; five brothers: Curtis Acy, Dwight (Sherry) James
both of Mineola, TX, Harold James of Swan, TX, Al James and
Donald James both of Van, TX; two good friends: Lee Vernon
Smith and Jerry McCann; a special friend, Betty Acy; and a
host of other relatives and friends.
