Lovorn McCann

Life Story

Lovorn “POP” McCann was born Monday, April 15th, 1935 in Shreveport, Louisiana to Wilmor McCann Sr., and Maggie McCann.

After moving to Texas he attended and graduated from McFarland High School in the Class of 1957.

Lovorn married Evelyn Johnson, in 1960. They began a matrimonial journey that was filled with love and lasting memories. They were married over 61 years, and to this union two children were born.

“POP” was a truck driver for over 30 years. A job he loved and enjoyed. Traveling and seeing different cities. He also cherished being a husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and seven siblings.

Lovorn “Pop” McCann will forever remain in the hearts and minds of his wife , Evelyn, his sons; Everett and Marcus, Two grandsons; Daniel and JaMarcus, One grand daughter, Jennifer, Two, great grand daughters, Kerrigan and Kaylee, Two great-grandsons, Daniel and Brennon, One sister, Katie, Two brothers, Roy and Edward. He will also be greatly missed by his brothers and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A kind hearted person who couldn’t say No, and did everything he could for anyone he knew. Lovorn was called home, and received by our Father on Wednesday, August 18, 2021.
