Luther LeRoy Tave

Luther LeRoy Tave was born April 18, 1955 in Mineola, Texas to James Henry and Thelma Watts Giles Tave.  One of 8 children of this union.

Luther lived most of his life in Mineola, TX. attending McFarland High School and graduating from Mineola High School in 1974.  While playing football at Mineola High School he earned the nickname ThunderBird because of his exceptional speed.  He lived in Odessa, Midland and Austin, working as a Lawn Sprinkler Supervisor and Installer and spent 15 years of his life working as a moving specialist for Mr. T's Moving and Storage, Tyler, TX.

Luther was a life long member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Mineola TX. having been baptized at an early age.  He sang in the youth choir and participated in many church activities.

Luther had to answer the transition call of our Lord and Savior on Saturday evening, August 24th, at East Texas Hospice Hospital in Tyler, TX.

Luther was preceded in the Transition by both parents, three brother Charles Smith, James and Otis Tave, and one Sister Arthella Tave-Johnson.

Luther leaves to cherish his love; Wife Jeanne Williams-Tave; Two sons Kevin Williams, Joey Tave; grandchildren, Kierra Williams, Kamia Tave, Ajia Simmons, and Joey Evat Tave, Jr; sisters, Patsy Tave-Webster, Thelma Louise(Ping) Tave; brothers, John Tave (Paula), Joe Tave (DeLoris) and Steve Tave; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lanette Richardson (Bobby) Faye Fuller, Janice Simmons (Lee) Tommy Williams, Michael William (Brenda),Dewayne Williams; and scores of nieces, nephews,cousins and friends.
