Patsy Ruth Tave-Webster was born, Wednesday, October 27,1943, to the parentage of James H. Tave, Sr. and Thelma Watts Giles-Tave in Mineola, Texas. She was a 1963 graduate of McFarland High School where she was loved and participated in many organizations, Patsy was a majorette during her McFarland High years.
A Godly woman, who loved family, and Christ with her whole heart. At an early age she united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Mineola, Texas. She was a member of the Senior Choir and served as Secretary for over Twenty-eight years. During her early years there she organized Christmas and Easter Programs. She also visited other churches in the community serving as God Servant.
Patsy met and married Eddie Scott Webster, and to this union three children were born. Eddie later preceded her in death.
Patsy did several jobs, but her number one job was mother and grandmother. She was a caregiver to all in the community, whatever she could do to make someone feel special and loved she was on it with a mission. Some may know and others may have been on the receiving end of getting cards for every occasion in life celebration, i.e. (birthday, anniversary, mother, and father day) Once she found out your birthday you were going to receive a card every year. But her greatness didn’t end here, she would often feed the people in the neighborhood not just on special occasion, but just on any day. Helping others was her Passion, and she took it to the highest level. You would often see her picking up trash in the neighborhood not because she had to but because she cared. Kindhearted was our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend always with that contagious smile on her face, and love in her spirit. Patsy’s light shined bright.
She is preceded in death by both parents James and Thelma Tave, Siblings: Charles Smith, James Tave, Jr., Otis Lee Tave, John W. Tave, Luther Leroy Tave, and Arthella Tave.
